I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and am here to help you meet your fitness and exercise goals, whether you are needing rehabilitation from pain or injury, are preparing for or recovering from surgery, or are seeking information about injury prevention during your professional, work-related, or recreational activities. What can you expect? What type of treatment will you receive?
Physical therapy treatment plans and choice of treatment procedures are based upon a comprehensive evaluation and are initiated only after a discussion of your concerns, expectations, and goals for treatment. Plans are individualized to meet these goals and to be compatible with your lifestyle and level of activity. Your treatment plan will be customized to help you restore normal function, ease of movement, and return to your usual activities safely and as soon as possible. Specific treatment procedures may include a combination of exercises, manual therapy (for example, to address restriction of joint range of motion), and modalities to relieve pain. You will always have a choice and be an active participant in the type of treatment you receive.

IN CALIFORNIA, NO DOCTOR REFERRAL IS NEEDED TO SEE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Pilates training can change the way you think and feel about movement and exercise. With Pilates, you can change your posture, increase your flexibility, tone your muscles, improve your coordination, and develop control over your movement. No matter your age.
One-on-one sessions ensure that you will maximize the benefits of your Pilates training. I work with you to correctly analyze your posture and alignment, detect possible muscle imbalances, weakness, and strengths, and to design a unique program just for you. No previous experience with Pilates is necessary.
You can benefit from a FITNESS PROGRAM whatever your age or fitness level.
Do you need guidance and motivation? Maybe you're recovering from an injury or dealing with pain when you exercise. You want to start an exercise program but just don't know how to begin.
Do you suspect that your present exercise program needs some adjustment in order to advance to the next step in meeting your fitness goals? Are you happy with your present program but want to be sure that you're working safely while maximizing your potential?
Working one-on-one with a physical therapist may be the answer for you, whether you're seeking advice or want to work with someone who will design an individualized program that suits your needs and who will teach you to work safely and work "smart".
There are many ways to get fit. I teach exercise programs that integrate fundamental mat exercises using your body weight as resistance, Pilates, and yoga exercises. I may also make use of Pilates equipment, resistance bands, hand held weights and other small equipment during exercise sessions.
